I am sure you have missed my pearls of wisdom over the last week. Lucky for me, no dumptrucks have pulled in front of me multiple times to ruin my day...Unlucky for you because I have nothing funny to talk about.
I, in fact have been quite boring. I have been running every other night after dinner. Joe and I run around the stadium then different routes throughout campus. We usually run for a little over 20 minutes. I always get home looking like a cherry with legs and huffing and puffing. Who said asthma wasn't sexy? We have been going for about two weeks now so we are in a pretty good routine, hopefully it will last.
Last Thursday I went to a local restaraunt called Fusion with two girls I work with, Rachel and Dani. I drank TWO glasses of white wine...yes AND I enjoyed it...and ate pistachio crusted rack of lamb, with some fancy sauce, roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. Pick your jaw up off the ground, I am an adult ya'll...got to grow out of chicken fingers and french fries one day (Or atleast one night a week) Afterwards we went to the bar next door called Tantra and all of our boyfriends met us for a few drinks. I ordered a Tantra Kiss, YUM. It was amaretto, grenadine, and something else...SO good. I wanted to order one called the Hot n Dirty just for the name but then the bartender told me it tasted like a boiled peanut. I mean really, a boiled peanut? Who wants to drink boiled peanuts? Let alone pay $8 for the liquid version of one...we weren't even at a baseball game!
On a random note - I drove by a construction site on the way back to work today and saw one of the workers standing on the back of an empty flat bed semi-truck watching something on the building. I had a sudden urge to swurve right into the truck with my car so he would be caught off balance and fall. The thought entertained me until I got back to work, does this make me a bad person? Probably.
Has your day been enlightened? I am sure it has...happy to help.
